HPR XLS Ghost Hunting Camera with CASE
HPR XLS 3D SKELETAL MAPPING CAMERA
Introducing the latest generation of the Horn Paranormal Research XLS 3D Skeletal Mapping Camera, now featuring our custom HPR-designed XLS software.
Our XLS system was designed to be compact, lightweight, mobile, and easy to operate in the field. The complete system weighs less than 4 lbs and arrives fully assembled, configured, and ready to investigate right out of the box.
NEW CUSTOM HPR SOFTWARE
Unlike earlier versions that relied primarily on third-party Kinect software, our current XLS Camera features custom software developed specifically for Horn Paranormal Research and paranormal investigation.
The camera image is displayed in the correct orientation just like a conventional camera—no reversed or 180°-rotated image.
Our software provides real-time skeletal tracking along with multiple visualization modes designed to give investigators different ways of viewing and documenting the environment.
Features include:
-
Real-time skeletal mapping
-
Simultaneous tracking of multiple skeletal figures
-
Different colored skeletons to help distinguish multiple tracked figures
-
2D and 3D visualization modes
-
Infrared / night-vision visualization
-
Color depth mapping
-
Audio monitoring using the tablet's microphone
-
On-screen microphone level display
-
Screen-recording capability for documenting sessions
The software and system are configured before shipment, eliminating complicated setup and allowing investigators to concentrate on the investigation rather than configuring hardware and software.
MICROSOFT KINECT SENSOR
The XLS utilizes a Microsoft Kinect sensor for depth sensing and skeletal-tracking data. The Kinect's depth-sensing technology allows the system to analyze the environment in three dimensions rather than relying solely on a conventional 2D camera image.
This is one of the primary differences between an XLS-style system and traditional SLS-style skeletal mapping systems: the XLS can utilize 3D depth information in addition to 2D imaging.
BUILT FOR MOBILE INVESTIGATIONS
An internal 6000 mAh rechargeable battery powers the Kinect sensor, allowing the system to be used without being tethered to an electrical outlet.
The system also includes our tablet-to-housing battery adapter, allowing the housing battery to provide power to the tablet while investigating to help extend operating time.
We HIGHLY recommend fully charging both the tablet and the internal sensor battery before every investigation.
TABLET INCLUDED
Each XLS Camera includes a refurbished 10-inch or larger Microsoft Surface tablet that has been configured and tested with the system.
Because refurbished tablets are used, the exact Surface model and hardware specifications may vary depending on availability.
The necessary HPR XLS software and screen-recording software are installed and configured before shipment.
An instructional video is also preloaded onto the tablet to help you get up and running quickly.
HOUSING & ACCESSORIES
The XLS Camera features a built-in accessory mounting point on the bottom of the housing. A handle is NOT included, allowing investigators to choose the mounting option that works best for them.
We personally use a monopod and have found it works extremely well for mobile investigations.
The system includes:
-
XLS Camera assembly
-
Microsoft Kinect sensor
-
Refurbished Microsoft Surface tablet
-
Internal 6000 mAh rechargeable sensor battery
-
Tablet-to-housing battery power adapter
-
Required charging cables
-
Protective carrying/storage case
-
Preinstalled HPR XLS software
-
Preinstalled screen-recording capability
-
Preloaded instructional video
The unit arrives fully assembled and ready to use.
IMPORTANT MICROSOFT / KINECT DISCLAIMER
The HPR XLS 3D Skeletal Mapping Camera and HPR XLS software are independently designed and produced by Horn Paranormal Research.
This product utilizes Microsoft Kinect sensor hardware and may include a refurbished Microsoft Surface tablet. Horn Paranormal Research is not affiliated with, sponsored by, authorized by, or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation.
Microsoft, Kinect, Surface, Windows, Xbox, and any other Microsoft product names or trademarks referenced in connection with this product are trademarks or registered trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies and/or their respective owners.
The Microsoft Kinect sensor and Microsoft Surface tablet are utilized as hardware components of the HPR XLS system. Microsoft does not manufacture, market, warrant, support, or endorse the HPR XLS Camera or HPR XLS software.
INVESTIGATIONAL USE DISCLAIMER
The HPR XLS Camera is an experimental tool intended for paranormal investigation and environmental observation. Skeletal tracking is generated by computer vision and depth-sensing algorithms interpreting objects, surfaces, people, and environmental data.
A displayed skeletal figure should not, by itself, be considered proof of paranormal activity. False or anomalous skeletal mappings can occur due to environmental conditions, objects, reflective surfaces, sensor limitations, occlusion, movement, or software interpretation. Findings should be evaluated along with other observations and evidence collected during an investigation.
